What do you feel when you enter a room that has an appropriately colored orange or red décor? The first feeling is that of warmth. Who wouldn’t love such a feeling in winters…cozy and warm!

What do you feel when you go to a place that has a décor of blue and green? The feeling is certainly cool and breezy….something all of us would appreciate in summers.

All colors generate some or the other feelings. These days a lot of designers use grey in their décor. Grey is a neutral color! Why grey? The reason is simple. It generates an expression of simplicity, sophistication, glamor and enables any place to look classy.

I too love grey in all its tints and shades. For the designer in me, it provides enough room to play with other colors for accentuation and accessorizing. Even when I don’t look forward to using other colors yet, grey looks classically beautiful on its own in a monochromatic color scheme.

Here are a few pictures of rooms well decorated with neutral patterns, colors and designs.
