Hey Everyone!

Imagine a trendy home with a lot of colors used efficiently.

Imagine a comfortable home emphasizing simplicity.

Now imagine the comfort of simplicity combined with humor, contrasting creativity and spontaneity.

That is INTUITION, a trend of 2010/2011 for you.

An explosion of good humor and bright colors is what we need to bear in mind before bringing this trend into play. As a designer I have always been fascinated with the idea of employing the vigor of colors for the liberation of creativity. There is so much that each one of us can do with colors. From bringing sunshine in the interiors to the contrast of day and night, every color adds some inspiration to our day to day life.

Impulsiveness, ease, color and contrast are the main ingredients for this bright, cheerful and yet uncomplicated trend. A lot of strong hues, geometric forms, digital patterns, graphic details and naïve elements form the base of all the themes that fall under this trend. Uneven yet structured materials are used in contrast to the layers or cut outs of basic elementary motifs.

Color blocks and vigorous contrasts focus on graphic thrust and derive inspiration from other cultures to establish the intrinsic magic of simplicity and functionality.

This trend is basically a very universal trend where we may include a variety of patterns from different cultures. Intuitive and instinctive geography surprises us with its form and color and combines plastic with sustainable materials.

The theme IMPULSIVE CREATIVITY can be put to use if we believe in spontaneity and free expression in creativity with bold colors and raw yet youthful graphic patterns, creating picturesque interiors.

The theme GRAPHIC FASCINATION comes with the concept of functionality and purpose in design. Prints and surface concealing furnishings feature forms and bring in good humor into a creative home.

The theme MAGIC SIMPLICITY also brings in rich contrast with natural optimism to interior design and making possible an encounter between vivid colors and neutral tones.

Below is a picture by Heimtexil Frankfurt that features the trend very well.
