Hey Folks,

2010 is almost over, especially for designers, trend setters, stylists and decorators. It is time to create something new and trendy for the upcoming year. It is time to understand and interpret the trends for 2011/2012 by Heimtextil and follow their directional aid to develop and renovate the creative and stylish expression for Fashion and Home.

This year Heimtextil Trends for 2011/2012 are developed by Boalab (Italy), Bora.Herke Stilburo (Germany), Carlin International (France), Dan Project (Japan), Stijlinstituut (The Netherlands) and LS:N Global/The Future Laboratory (UK) of the International Heimtextil Trend Table.

The four Reconnect directions refer back to nature and roots in Sobriety, to culture, identity and tradition in Mix Mash. Utility recommits to real values and the art of craftsmanship and Wilderness to the essential, functional and every day.

I would cover all trends in detail in subsequent blog posts. As for now here is some informative insight into the four Reconnect directions.
